(I got this off the internet and is supposed to be up to date.)

I have to be honest I am somewhat doubtful that she will do a show on such a subject. It is a very difficult and controversial and does not make for a happy afternoon show. She's tackled controversial issues but she may just not like this one. It can't hurt trying, but whatever you do, be polite and professional and prepared.
The voting has ended but that does not mean that we have to quit. Here is a link to change.org facebook page that was created by Amanda just for this cause.

Voting will end in a few hours

This is one last call to ask you to vote for this Cause "Stop Animal Torture"
Overall I want to thank all those that voted and lend their time to spread the word.
A special thanks to those that created web pages and links in many places on the net.

Disappointingly eh animal rights blog leadership section gave zero support to this cause.
Why is a mystery, since it did support earlier causes that did not make it in to the 2nd round of voting. You can draw your own conclusions.

It's been an interesting experience to start this change.org idea/cause

I've been promoting animal Rights and my ideas for a long time but it's been in a vacuum so to speak. I've written letters, signed petitions, donated paintings and money the same as many people do.
This was the first time I stopped working, stopped making money for weeks to devote myself just to promoting this idea on change.org. Because it had the potential of ending up on President Obama's desk if it were to get in to the top 10 final ideas via vote.

I did what I could but we have a long way to go before all animal activists or people in general that say they are about animals rights, can jump over their own shadow and leave ego behind for the sake of animals.

So overall I am disappointed somewhat disillusioned but that is par for the course.

I will continued to write letters, sign petitions, donate art and give money to animal rights causes that are inclusive.

The people that have the interest of animals at heart and started with the first step of embracing a vegan lifestyle, like myself have to reach out to those that have not made the step yet.

We can only do that in a positive manner at least that is my opinion. I do not react well to threads, or lectures, or elitist attitudes and I think most people don't react well to that either. Too often do I read condescending and elitist attitudes expressed by so called animals activist toward people that aren't Vegan. In my opinion such superior attitudes, only hurts the cause and does not bring people over to our side.

If someone makes the first step to become a vegetarian lets not beat them over the head by lecturing them at nausea about how they are still are eating eggs and drink milk and how it's just no good. A first step is a first step that may lead to the next step. But not if we badger, abuse, lecture, condescend and show no love at all to those we want to convert so to speak. We can't pretend to have compassion for animals while not having compassion for people.

So while I wish I were independently wealthy and had someone to support me, so I could devote all of my time to this cause and reach out to people to educate, I simply have to get back to work. I will do what I have done in the past in my spare time to continue to shine a light on all animal abuse. I hope you'll follow this blog and invite others to check in as well.

See you all here I hope.
