(I got this off the internet and is supposed to be up to date.)

I have to be honest I am somewhat doubtful that she will do a show on such a subject. It is a very difficult and controversial and does not make for a happy afternoon show. She's tackled controversial issues but she may just not like this one. It can't hurt trying, but whatever you do, be polite and professional and prepared.

  1. Good idea. Yes, O. has tackled some controversial animal issues, and no doubt, has helped educate the public tremendously, as well as financial support for the rescue/Animal organizations spotlighted. However, yesterday, on her show about Menopause/Hormone replcmt. nothing was mentioned about the vile suffering inflicted upon countless mares and the cruel discarding of foals (selling/auction for transport to slaughter in Mexico/Canada- horse meat for the tables in Europe and elsewhere. She may have been too wary to bring this out. I can imagine, she has to tread softly with her profit-driven advertisers, who most likely profit from some form of animal cruelty - industrial/institutional legalized animal abuse. BUT -- if enough of us get busy, and write letters, snail mail is best, or even call, we may have victory in numbers in getting the needed messages/education to the public.
As for me, I will forever be haunted and frustrated at my inability to help stop the unthinkable cruelty to the raccoon dogs and domestic dogs in Asian Fur farms - as well as the monstrous crime of torture and murder of dogs and cats for their consumption. Thanks for keeping this atrocity in the face of the public. We cannot forget it - at least for me. At every opportunity, espec. to our so-called representatives in Washington, state, etc. They definitely won't view the film - but we can tell them about it so they can't say they don't know. Thanks again.
